Charlotte Orr

Charlotte Orr is an illustrator, muralist and teacher of Art & Design based in Oxford. Her work comprises of illustration for clients such as St Michael’s Mount, the Folio Society, Oxford Castle and various editorial publications both in the UK and internationally. 

Charlotte graduated in 2013 and is currently studying an MA in illustration, both at Falmouth University. In 2015, Charlotte won a World Illustration Award for a 40m mural painted at Oxford Castle depicting aspects of the castle’s history as a prison and now a hotel. More recently, her work was selected by Oxford City Council to be printed on coffee cup recycling bins dotted around the city centre.

Charlotte's work explores observed, composed and imagined landscapes, from the bracing Irish hills to the turquoise Cornish sea. Charlotte’s vibrant and intricate visual language is her response to the world around her and a visual diary of memories, experiences and stories from her mind’s eye.
