Debbie Farrell

Debbie has always been interested in all areas of textile design.  Building on her London degree in Printed Textiles and Decoration, Debbie worked in a West London textiles studio producing printed patterns for interior fabrics.  Debbie’s enthusiasm led her to teaching, including running art departments for international summer courses and working as a Textiles teacher in a girls boarding school for 12 years.

Debbie has exhibited her work in galleries across the South East, including London’s Business Design Centre and galleries in London, Ascot and Wargrave.  She is currently represented by Fitch and Fellows gallery in Thame.  She participates in Artweeks and was recently selected to exhibit at the Oxford Open.  With more than 70 artists on display, Debbie won the runner up prize for her large embroidery,  ‘Winter in the Woods’.

Debbie  focuses on embroidery and is inspired by her home in rural Oxfordshire. Picturesque summer poppies, Bluebell woods, frosty winter snow scenes, late summer silhouettes, along with many beautiful flowers and local landscapes are embroidered freehand by Debbie.
