For a good number of years Elizabeth painted in watercolour, but more recently changed to work with oil paint. She finds it quite liberating after watercolour, with the ability to change things as she goes along. Elizabeth tends to paint landscapes and trees, partly because she lives in a beautiful area - on a good day! - with a lot of large, old, beautiful trees. She finds it absorbing and calming when painting and try to translate that into the finished picture.
